Fitness Success Stories
Recruit Anne Loney (30) "I was proud to be “voluptuous, curvy”. I didn’t have the desire to change my eating or exercise habits (nor did I think I had to)."

How has consistent exercise improved your life? "I am happy, less stressed. My energy levels are increased. I eat because I am hungry, not bored. I am confident and safe in my ability to do activities, like joining a ball team, riding a bike again and playing soccer for the first time. I am excited to exercise and find I am less likely to stay late at work as I want to go for hike, run or bike ride. I have more patience in stressful situations. I've lost 40lbs since starting Boot Camp last year. At bed time I no longer toss and turn, I am legitimately tired. I sleep through the night. My attitude about life has changed. Exercise has helped me maintain personal balance between work and everything else. I am proud of myself that I am able to exercise regularly. I will always be a regular exerciser now....it makes me feel great!!!"
What would you say to someone who thinks they are too out of shape to exercise in a group? "Being out of shape is a temporary state. At 5’7 and 200 lbs, I was proud to be “voluptuous, curvy”. I didn’t have the desire to change my eating or exercise habits (nor did I think I had to). Starting Boot Camp made me realize how unfair I was being to my body- each day I have a choice; I could either be embarrassed for being out of shape or proud to have the ability and drive to do something about it."
