Fitness Success Stories

Recruit: Jane Frazee (50). I’m back in my kitchen with a cup of coffee by 8:00 am with an incredible sense of accomplishment that stays with me all day long, physically and emotionally…..it’s a very good feeling.

Janet FrazeeHave you 'bulked up' since you started weight training? No. I have been weight training at The Original Boot Camp for the better part of two years and have noticed that my muscles are more toned, but I have not bulked up. My legs, arms, stomach and butt are tighter and have more shape than they did before. It's a great feelingwhenI can see the body composition improvements!

What would you say to people who think that they are 'too old' to enlist in Boot Camp? As fifty came closer, I noticed a new propensity to be more lazy, increased gravitational pull on some parts of my body and that extra 10 creeping towards 15, soon to be 20 lbs of extra. I began to notice people my age looking old -and that's where I saw myself going as I heard the nay-sayers preach "be gentle with yourself, you’re older now, you’re much more prone to injury, bones get brittle" .. and I began to believe in the inevitable aging process. But then I also noticed the others, the 60 plus marathon runners, skate-skiers, mountain climbers and lean, trim, young looking 50-80 year olds - and remembered that I had a choice. I didn’t have to run a marathon or climb Everest, I only had to create a habit of regular exercise. I am now stronger, fitter and feel much better physically than I was in my 20’s..... and I fully intend to be even fitter when I’m 60. The Original Boot Camp empowers other aspects of my life; the regular exercise improves my work, productivity, self-esteem and relationship with family. This reflects the way I interact with the world.
