Justine EwertHow has getting in shape changed your ability to be a better mom? Positive, positive, positive.  With my daughter I have the time and patience to listen and teach. It is so good for her to feed off of me the alertness and happiness that comes with staying in shape.  She knows when mommy is going to workout. She knows when mommy comes home from working out. She greets me and is happy. I take her jogging with me. I can only imagine how this will affect her life in the long run.  She loves it, whether she is looking at the flowers, trees surroundings or fast asleep.  Nothing like fresh air blowing through her hair and veins!  I feel so proud as a mother being able to offer this lifestyle to her. I can’t really express the feelings.

What motivates you to find the energy for daily exercise? I love to have energy.  It is a fantastic cycle that occurs.  Once your body starts getting what it wants, it won’t let you stop.  It is truly amazing how the motivation comes naturally, although it took sometime for my body and mind to adjust. Like Cat Smiley says, it takes 21 days to form a habit, and after about the 21st day I noticed a change and felt on my way to a healthy routine. Whistler has great surroundings and easy access to fantastic trails, which makes it easier.  If you are finding it hard to get up and go, have a look around and change what is in the way.  There is a light at the end of the tunnel but you have to chase that light. It isn’t coming to get you!   .
