Recruit Lindsay Los (20) "The good feeling I have when I am active drives me the most ”
What motivates you to workout when you are already in shape? I feel much different after even a week of
inactivity (due to travel or work commitments) than I do when I am
working out daily; both mentally and
physically different. It’s the good feeling I have when I am active that
motivates me to “work out”. I think our bodies are designed to be active and that is
why we are equipped with so many moving parts. When we keep these parts
moving, everything mind, body and soul, continues to work well. I think
everyone knows what happens to any machine that has been idle too long - it
usually has to have a major tune up or overhaul before it can be put to good
use. I want to feel good, be able to think clearly, react quickly both
mentally and physically and to guarantee this.... I workout!.
What would you say to someone who thinks that if you are not trying to lose weight, there is no point in working out? The way one feels is related to the way one looks and the way one looks is
directly related to the amount of physical activity they are involved in. I
do not need to know how much I weigh to know how I look and feel.
The way I feel and function, the energy I put into all I do, both at work
and recreationally, show all the ways that I feel, physically, mentally
and emotionally good. A well toned body can be recognized by most with the naked
eye, no scale necessary. Just as an item for sale that is neatly packaged
is more likely to catch ones eye than the same size package which is loosely
displayed so it is with a well toned “neatly packaged body”. The good
overall feeling I have when I feel good about myself is the
real benefit from working out.
