Vancouver Island: Easy To Get To, Impossible To Forget
With the warmest climates in the country, ‘the island’ is known as the Hawaii of Canada. It’s mild enough to even grow olives and lemons. People swim in the ocean without wetsuits, and nearby Tofino is famous for surfing.
Private vehicle is required during your stay – either a rental or your own. Parking is free for the duration of your weight loss camp. Depending on distancing requirements (at the time of your stay) you’ll either be driving in the team shuttle or following in your own vehicle. This extra step gives boot campers protection from public transportation exposure risk.
The next opening for Cat Smiley Boot Camp is March, 2021. As the pandemic wears on and the advisories continually change, all boot campers for the remaining of the season need to be traveling locally. If flying, Comox is the best airport. If driving from the Mainland, you’ll take a ferry to Departure Bay.
We’re outside pretty much all day working out in the gorgeous places of the area. However on the weekends (pending travel advisories) there are lots of places nearby to go checkout. Vancouver Island is a mecca of artistic, West Coast beauty. Mountains, ocean, parks, rivers and lakes – fresh air and friendly people. Truly paradise!
“Vancouver Island is consistently one of our readers’ top islands in Canada, and now a favorite in the world—namely because there’s so damn much to do. Pick from salmon fishing, wine tasting, sailing, strolling along beaches and nature trails, or learning about glassblowing.” – CONDE NAST TRAVELER
