Details

This is a private hiking tour for women, that you can share with up to 3 friends of similar ability for flat rate of $500 per day (so with 4 people, that’s $125 each…for a full day!) This is much lower in pricing than any of my other programs, as a new client offer with only 18 spaces available in the season (every Saturday from May – Sept).

Led by a certified fitness trainer and hiking guide, your experience will be designed for your fitness level and comfort zone. Whistler Fitness Vacations hiking tours are exclusively offered to women of beginner and intermediate fitness levels, designed as an introduction to hiking.

Your day will explore the renowned treasures of Whistler’s forest nature trails. This hiking tour is dog friendly, and suitable for anyone who can walk 20 minutes comfortably. The pace is slow to moderate, matching the group.

  • Departure Point – Hotel pickup and drop off included
  • Duration: 8.30am – 9am pickup, return to original starting point around 2pm (5 hours)
  • Inclusions: Private transportation, all fees and taxes, guided hike
  • This tour is for women only, not recommended for travellers with back problems/heart problems or other serious medical conditions.

The Cat Smiley Advantage

Hi, I’m Cat Smiley, and I’ve lived in Whistler for over 20 years, running hiking vacations for women since 2008. I’m a master fitness trainer and certified wilderness guide/first aid responder, specializing in restorative exercise programming.

In this Saturday tour, I’ll pick up at your hotel and together we’ll spend the day on the right trail for your fitness level, away from the crowds! You’ll get an amazing workout as it’ll be based around target training zone, so that you can learn a bit about power walking; safely and effectively. I’ll teach you proper form if needed, and you’ll discover the ultimate experience that Whistler is famous for – the forest nature trails.

Then at the end of the day, I’ll drop you back to your hotel – tired and sweaty with a batch of instagrammable photos that I took without stopping the pace of the tour. Did I mention, no trying to figure out trailheads or waiting for cabs….?? 🙂

Why Book With Cat?

Hiking is an amazing low-impact activity that refreshes and renews your spirit of adventure. Yet where to begin?

Whistler is a huge place, and the Canadian wilderness is not to be taken lightly! All too often in this world-famous resort town, the trails that the hotel concierge and guide books tell you about are literally PACKED with mountain bikers, strollers and tourists in jeans trying to read their paper map.

Not to mention dogs everywhere and groups of 30 people from the cruise ship. And so you book a tour, hoping to get a good workout yet everyones taking photos, drinking their slurpies and trying to help their toddler on the trail.

The paces are soooooo slooooow…it takes a million years to get to the point-of-interest and by that time, you’re eaten by bugs and just want to go back to the hotel treadmill for a workout. Am I right? #realtalk
